Below is the complete list of hiking trails that I have completed at least once. I can recommend all of them, but of course I love few things more than hiking in Denmark. For easy overview, I have provided each trail with a short teaser description as well as distance, difficulty and location in Denmark.
Distances are provided in kilometres. If you are more into miles, an easy if rough conversion can be done by calculating about two thirds of the distance in km. (so, 15 km. is about 10 miles).
Difficulty is exactly what you think it is. Please note, that no Danish trail is truly rough or challenging. Some have rougher terrain or fewer facilities than others.
Location refers to where in Denmark the trail can be found. Copenhagen is my home city and the outset for any of my hikes, while Greater Copenhagen refers to short trips outside the city. Copenhagen is located on the eastern island known as Zealand while the largest body of land to the west, Jutland, will require more travel to reach. Then there is the central, smaller island of Funen and the very small and somewhat distant island of Bornholm. For each trail below, the location marker helps you understand where the trail can be found. Of course, you can also check the overview map.
